Wildlife Trail Camera - 1.9.2017

Hedgehog cam - Night of 31.8.2017

#hogblog

Last nights #hogblog, filmed at my hedgehog highway, which is cut into my back garden fence.

This video, taken of the hedgehog highway, shows the importance of having them – cut into your own fences in your own gardens! They open up wildlife corridors and allow hedgehogs to travel greater distances and access more food and water supplies. They also allow for having great visitors in your gardens!!

I also have access on both side of my house, through and under my gates, allowing access from the front, to my back garden, as we have hedgehogs living in dense bushes and feeding around the green and gardens, where I live

Hedgehogs really appreciate fresh water. Put a bowl out! - they'll love it, and hopefully become regular visitors for you :)

As I'm sure you're aware, the UK hedgehog needs our help. Lost of habitat, including clean tidy gardens, less roadside hedgerows, and of course more and more development - meaning less green spaces, are all hitting our much loved little gardeners friend, the hedgehog, hard.

Why not try and do your own little bit for them. It's easy........cut an access hole in the bottom of a fence, leave a little water out, even just let a corner of your garden get messy. It all helps :)

My nightly offerings: 'Spikes' Semi-moist hedgehog food, 'Ark wildlife' hedgehog food, dried mealworm, peanuts and of course a fresh bowl of water :)

Filmed with a Spypoint BF10-HD IR wildlife (modified) trail cam

Hope you enjoy the short clip!
